Chicks for the broody ?

Yesterday evening we thought we heard peeping coming from under the broody but couldn't be sure, as the older Leghorn chick was cheeping away, as well as the sparrows in the hedgerow. The broody appeared a little more anxious, growling if anyone entered the shed and today she failed to leave the nest for a drink. Just now when I was in the shed sorting the afternoon feed I am certain I heard distinct chick sounds. Tomorrow if they have hatched and she takes them off the nest I will know how many and which eggs have been successful
